[Kenwood] TS570D to TS2000

I'm considering changing from a 570D original version to a 2000. Aside
from additional antennas to access vhf and uhf, will I have any problems
with other wiring, such as my AL80A? I might or might not want to
continue using my Kam Plus as well since my software is Kantronics
specific. Would this be just a matter of pulling out the old and
plugging in the new, or will the wiring setup take up a good Saturday
afternoon and require me to burn some solder?

Finally, I've heard good and bad about the TS2000 output--low wattage on
SSB, hard to hear weak vhf stations without a preamp. I'd appreciate
any comments form guys who have used these radios. I'm used Kenwoods for
a long time, but I'm not married to them.
