Hello Dale,

It should work just fine.  I use the 220/BS-8 combo on both the TS830S (1st IF), and on the TS-870S (2nd IF).  It gives a usable "fish-finder" display, but not nearly with the resolution of the bandscope on the 756pro.  However, the additional utility of the SM-220 (RF monitor,
trap-scope, oscilloscope, etc.) are very nice.
