Since you have (according to the FCC) a commercial GROL w/ship radar
endorsement, getting your ham license shouldn't be tough.  Try www.arrl.org
for exam information and test locations.

Thanks to all who replied!

I earned a FCC Technician Class license a few years back.  I know that I
cannot use the transmitter until I have a proper FCC license.  I do not
think I was ever issued a call sign.

I do need a copy of the manual.

Already have some RS copper wire for dipole antenna.
