And when we get hit by a disaster, and it takes all the cell sites off the
air how will you're cell phone perform then?

Times have changed!

Thats why there are elmers out there to help the new guys on the block.
Ham bands too crowded, well from what I hear, for example HF, hardly anymore
ragchews like there used to be.

Yes I have heard in certain parts of the USA trying to get someone to answer
you on 2m is like a challenge.
