I know better than to reply to this bitter soul because this isn't the forum
but,
I can't sit here and take this.
It's people like this guy that make me want to just turn the radio off....
but I won't
I am a no code tech and have been for 9 years now. I have much respect for
my
elder hams that have achieved the higher licenses. I salute each of you. To
you now, the
tech written test may be a joke but for me, it was something I studied very
hard for.
No one is born with this knowledge. I learned it on my own and I got my
license
in 94. I don't understand why you feel so threatened. Each license class you
progress
to has it's privileges. You should find a lowly tech plus in your precious
Extra
bands. I'm not looking for an easy way out by not learning code. I support
learning code.
It's incentive for greatness in our community. Granted, I feel the
requirements need
to be restructured but I truly want to learn it. Being a single dad, it's
very hard to find time
to dedicate where one can concentrate. Yes elder ham, I do look up to your
license but
you are no better than me. Change is inevitable. You obviously are not
enjoying the hobby.
Find something else to do. Friday night bingo at the VFW may be more
appealing to you
and your antiquated views.
