Uh, I give up, what?

Let's remember, it's not illegal to own amateur radio equipment if one
isn't licensed, it's illegal to transmit.  I wonder how many of us set up a
station in anticipation of taking an examination and receiveing our ticket?
Were we breaking the law?  Were the individuals who sold us the gear, or
aided and abetted us in setting it up, criminaLs?  Of course not.  We're
not talking about dealing drugs.

Not that I believe this guy has any intention of getting a ticket.

While I do not condone selling ham equipment to a CB'er it is NOT illegal.
Don't put the culpability for illegal use on the seller, it rests squarely
with the user.

While I personally wouldn't do business with this guy, it isn't an act that
will land you in the big house.  But I sure would hate to see a nice 830
end up in the hands of a CB'er.

BTW:  Can an 830 even be made to work on CB?  No optical encoder, no 11m
bandswitch position.  I suppose anything's possible, but it would seem that
there are easier candidates.
