[Kenwood] Inrad Filter Info Please

I've just acquired a #95 1.8 ssb filter made by Inrad for my TS-570DG.
The instructions say to clip off two of the 5 pins on one side stating
they are ground pins and are not needed even for the "kenwood filter"
(singular). My question is if this will effect ether the cw or ssb
kenwood filters if they are reinstalled instead of the inrad?
