[Kenwood] Recharging the LiON battery

As far as I know LiON batteries don't show any effects of short cycles
and should show an extended lifetime if recharged before drained. My
VXR-5r manual says the LiON battery is good for full power for 300
cycles, then the capability will diminish. Says nothing about partial
discharges.

Look at it this way: You bought the radio to use, not to be a slave to
its batteries. You want each use session to be lengthy, not limited by
battery power. So charge it when you don't need it, like overnight,
whatever the state of charge when you head for bed. I think it will
lengthen the battery life, and contribute to your longer life by not
frustrating you when the half dead battery from yesterday didn't last
through that third contact of the day.
