The 6293 is a direct substitute for the 6146A NOT the 6146B! Consequently, 
you will acrifice a little power out (not enough to notice on the other end 
of a QSO) but the 5x to 10x extension on the life of the tubes makes this a 
good trade off. The 6293 was developed for "Pulse" applications and has a 
1KW plate dissipation rating!

  "Stupidity" is a Terminal condition!
