NONSENSE!!!

A working NB works super on line noise. Line noise consists of a
sequence of microsecond long pulses at each line voltage peak. Several
on each peak. 360 peaks per second on a three phase power line. The
crystal filters used in all but Tentec radios ring on that noise (as do
Collins mechanical filters) to fill in the gaps and hide the amplitude
modulation that should be there. The blanker in my TS-130 takes out line
noise quite nicely as does the blanker in my Tentec Corsair II. And more
modern blanker should do at least as fine, perhaps better if not for the
presence of a strong carrier outside the receiver IF passband but inside
the noise blanker passband. That is the problem that K0CKD saw.
