[Kenwood] Compact "Kitchen Sink" Mobile Rig?

As has been seen in the past, it's usually very difficult to build a 
jack-of-all-trades that really works great on everything. The TS-2000 is 
pretty good, but has its quirks. The 706 iterations and the FT-100/D have 
their quirks and some serious maintenance issues. IMHO, it's better to have 
two or three radios that work really well, than one small radio that works 
OK on everything...
