[Kenwood] TS-850S/AT Morse Error Signal ?

Probably caused by VCO2 being out of adjustment a very very common problem 
with older TS-850's. The inexpensive trimmer cap takes a set and the VCO 
can no longer be brought reliably into lock with the PLL. The adjustment is 
relatively easy to do and requires only a very small screw driver, a DMM, 
and a service manual so you can find the test point for the meter and the 
location of the cap inside of a small can. After adjustment the unit may be 
stable for awhile but over time the problem will re-occur more and more 
frequently until the cap must be replaced. While adjustment of the trimmer 
cap is easy replacement is not a trivial task.
