I have a TS-830s that already ahd the YG-88C 455 kHz CW filter. I just
installed the YK-88C 8.3 MHz cw filter, and now the received signal is
attenuated on the narrow CW setting - perhaps by 10 to 20 dB. That wasn't
the case with just the YG-88C installed.
I also notice that the signal peaks when I have IF shift about 1 tick mark
off-center to the left (minus side). I had noticed this before when I had
the YG-88C by itself, and that the more I narrowed the VBT, the more I had to
peak the IF shift to the left to track the station.
So, is the attenution normal? I don't expect so, since it makes weak signals
disappear -- the opposite of what I wanted!
Any ideas before I mess something else up?
