[Kenwood] two tone test question

Yeah, the two tone test would require the xcvr to be in SSB mode.  Don't
know where my head was on that one.

I have a '68 Handbook, and it does go into some detail about the principles
of the two tone test.  But, it doesn't have anything about the effects that
audio and rf underdrive/overdrive are expected to have on the test pattern.

I guess rf overdrive and IMD distortion are closely linked; i.e. if the
pattern is almost a perfect trapezoid, I shouldn't have IMD distortion or rf
overdrive if the pattern is good.

With what you've told me, I think now I can do it OK.  I think a perfect (or
very close to it) trapezoid is what I'll be looking for.
