[Kenwood] Kenwood R 820

Hello Group, this is my first posting to this list and I
have a few questions about info on the R 820 receiver.

I bought it for $200 and it had listed problems, flickering
display, unstable turn on and sensitive VFO.

I'm having difficulty find much info on known fixes &
maintenance for this fine receive?  I work in electronics'
so doing the work isn't a problem, only knowing where to
start would be helpful.

My xmas is coming early........I have a cherry TS850 station
coming this week (6 mil)  :)
