I am considering the purchase of a TS-570D(G). A CW question . . . I've noted a
truncated first dit from the ARRL Product Review. The first dit also has a bit of a
spike or overshoot similar to that of many ICOM rigs. Is this first dit anomoly
peculiar to using the -570's internal keyer, or does it also occur with an external
keyer? I use an Idiom Press CMOS-4 keyer most of the time.
Also, is the RCP-570 control program compatible with WinXP?
Any other input regarding the rig would be much appreciated. I hope to be able to
figure out a manner in which I can use a modified Drake R-4C as a sub-receiver
with the TS-570D(G), since it appears the -570 does not have a 2nd receiver output
port.
Thanks,
