If anyone has a service manual for a TS140S or 680S, could they be so kind
as to look up a part number for me?
I am repairing a TS140S I picked up, and the previous owner failed to
re-install the shield plate that covers the final amplifier section. This is
a anodized panel that is almost the width and depth of the top of the
radio, and is held to the heat sink top half of the radio with about 16 screw
or so.
I need the Kenwood xx-xxxx-xx part number for both the cover and the screws.
I don't understand how someone could be so irresponsible! Without the plate
shielding the amplifier/lowpass filter stages, the radio goes into
oscillation if keyed. This caused the driver transistors to fail, and is
most likely why it was for sale so cheap! I repaired the radio, but now I
need to obtain the shield plate. Without the service manual, I can't order
the parts from East Coast or PacParts.
Anyone possibly have a TS140/680 for parts lying around??
Thanks
Eric
