[Kenwood] AT-250 /820 mod

Hello All,
      I am posting this for a friend who would like any information possible on hooking up
the AT-250 tuner, {which is set up for the Kenwood 430} to the  Kenwood 820. Is there a
modification  to the AT-250 and the 820?  Will a cable wiring change do it? and where can  a
12 pin plug for the 820, at the transverter socket be obtained.
