Thanks to all who responded for the comments re: my question
about no CW receive below 500kHz.

After reading the responses and suggestions I decided to explore a
bit more and discovered the following:

It only affects CW, and then only when the Antenna Tuner is
selected. Does not affect FSK, even with same bandwidth selected.

When the tuner is turned off all modes work fine all the way down
to 30kHz.

When the tuner is turned on (see next item for clarification of
"turned on") all modes, including even FM, work fine down to
30kHz; except for CW, which ceases to function below 500kHz -
by ceases to function I mean no signals can be found, even an S9+
local beacon is no longer discernable and also there is no
indication on the S meter.

Turning menu item 11 - "Antenna tuner operation while receiving" -
on or off makes no difference whatsoever.

Changing bandwidths over the whole available range makes no
difference.

Wonder if anyone else has this situation?

It is a TS-570DG, serial 21100012, and I am the original owner - no
 mods.

Now that I can work around it, not likely I'm going to use the
antenna tuner below 500kHz, it is not a problem. I just happend to
trip over it by going down there with the Antenna Tuner selected,
otherwise I would never have been aware of it. However I am
curious if it is just mine or a common characteristic of the 570.

Incidentally on my TS-450SAT all modes work down to 30kHz
regardless of tuner, menu, bandwidth, or any other factor I can
think to try.

Curiously,
