As I understand it, 220 is a US-only band, or at least is not widely
availabe globally. Manufacturers feel the market is too small.
I had read about a great linked 220 repeater system in this area, and set
my mobile rig (an FT-100) to listen to it. Same three guys, every day, day
in and day out. They invite people to join them (according to the article
I read,) but if they really want others to converse with them, why do they
not use the largely-silent 2 meter repeaters in the area?

Still, I'd like to have the capability, too.
