[Kenwood] Kenwood SM-220

I need some information on the Kenwood adapter BS-5 and or BS-8 for
the Kenwood SM-220. Can someone explain the difference between
the BS-5 and BS-8 pan adapter. Also tell me what the function of the 
adapter does. Also if anyone out there would be kind enough to email
me a manual for the SM-220 would much appreciated.
