[Kenwood] TS-830S Digital Display Fault

Don't know for sure how my CompuServe account is going to do on this 
(impossible to correct HTML attachment problems with CompuServe and AOL). 
Your problem with the TS-830S is common as far as I have seen. I have 
experienced it in a TS-830S and a TS-530SP that were in storage. In both of 
my cases I had to find what connector in the digital readout board was not 
making good contact. I cleaned all connector pins with De-Ox-It. In the case 
of the TS-830S, I also found bad solder joints on the circuit board. When all 
of that was corrected the problem went away and has not returned.
