[Kenwood] TS 930sat - Serial Number ranges

Not too hard to do this yourself.  While you are at it, replace the drivers with the low-gain matched pair sold by RF Parts... they are only a hundred bucks or so.  Then mod the fan circuits so that they come on sooner to keep the regulator and PA sections cooler... R&R the AVR unit and re-solder everything... Buy a GOOD surge suppressor (at least $60.00 worth) to keep line spikes from avalanching your pass transistors; then re-set the driver and final bias per the book... you could have a good rig there. Just be sure to pray, or cross your fingers if you prefer, when powering it up.

If you are not handy with this sort of thing, I would not recommend the '930.
