[Kenwood] TS 930sat - Serial Number ranges

I have a friend who is consdiering buying a TS-930.  What are the early serial
nubers and what are the later?  I'm assuming that the late serial numbers are
the ones to get as opposed to the earlier ones.  Thanks for you time.
