There's no substitute for manual in hand. I've used a couple 120 and now
have a 130. I don't have the 120 operation manual. The 120 has very good
load protection so a bad load won't hurt it. It prefers to feed any
almost resonant antenna with an antenna tuner though.

There is MUCH on dipoles in the ARRL handbook, even elderly editions.
Ditto the ARRL antenna books, any editions.

I worked a bunch of CW contacts with my TS-130 running on battery and
turned down to 25 watts out last June. Didn't seem to miss any that I'd
used more power for in the past. And my 20 meter antenna was a dipole
hung on a clothesline about 6' above the ground.
