You know this is beginning to bug me. I'm sort of an author. Nothing major, 
but I do have 3 books out there. It took me about 10,000 hours to write 
each, and I get about 30 cents an hour for my trouble.

And some people think they can simply steal my work. Fooey.

I will simply ask if someone can steal your wages from your employment and
get away with it.

Amateur radio is looking like less and less of a prize.

I believe international copyright law states that _If you have bought the 
original copy_, and only if, you make make a copy. That treaty is not 
honored in all countries. All of my books have been translated into 
Chinese, and I didn't get a penny. They didn't sign.

I think all of this comes from teenagers who steal music on the internet. I 
won't comment on that. Good lord, it took hundreds of years to get the 
copyright laws on the books, and hams want to destroy them in a day.
