[Kenwood] TS-120S Question

Thought I would post this question here to see if anyone remembers a similar
problem.  I have a TS-120S that I've used for mobile and just a back up rig.
Had the thing for a long time and always worked well.  A few weeks ago, I
got it out to fire it up and make sure things were still working.  I had it
going to a dummy load and all appeared to be working OK.

At some point, either due to a bad coax connection or whatever, I looked up
and the power was down real low.  It was not drawing much current either.
So I shut it down (more in frustration and that stupid feeling one sometimes
gets hihi) and let it cool down to see if that would make any difference.

Well, the power did come back up, it puts out nearly 100 Watts, but I cannot
control the power out with the carrier control anymore.  At least I think I
use to be able to turn the power down with that control.  If I turn the
control down 'quickly', I see the power go down, but then comes right back
up to full power.

Going thru the old memory banks, does anyone recall what this problem may be
or give me some hints on where to start looking?  I've given the radio the
'sniff test', and nothing is jumping out at me as having been hot in the
process.
