Hi Jim

I have one of those! It doesn't have the squech problem
though. Actually this one works pretty good except the sensitivity could
be
better. The manual says it is supposed to be 5 watts on low power.
If yours is high I see a pot u.der the bottom cover called VR5
that is the "low power" pot. I would assume you can adjust it
but you never know! I have the manual and schematic here.
