[Kenwood] ts940sat low output power

ts940 not used on tx for quite a while.
Started using on tx can only get aprox 5 watts o/p on all modes.
Meter readings on tx as follows.
ALC 0 reading
ic     apx 3a
vc   apx 30 v
power o/p only known from using external power meter.
I am very new to semi conducter transmitters.
Any suggestions as to possible reason would be appreciated. T.I.A.
