No serious bugs in the early ones except for the ability to turn up the 
power and possibly ruin the finals.  The fan if there was sufficient 
space around it to allow drawing in and expelling air keeps the TS-50 
cool enough to touch in most forms of operation although I suspect that 
extended rtty operation at let's say 50 watts might heat things up a wee 
mite more.  As far as I know, there was only the TS-50S, although most 
folks just call it the TS-50.  -art clemons-
