Its possible there's a wrong bias on the PA board, but most TS-120
oscillate on the high bands because the RF board (under the band switch)
board mounting screws are loose. Take the top cover off, and tighten
them. Add shakeproof or star lock washers to lengthen the period until
the come loose again. Many board grounds depend on those screws and
there is a lot of transmitter gain on that board. Occasionally the RF
attenuator relay board is the culprit. There are several Kenwood service
bulletins about the topic, only one on the Kenwood ftp page. I've fixed
several TS-120 with nothing but a screwdriver, both locally and remotely
by radio or e-mail with just these instructions.
