[Kenwood] VFO-230 and VFO-240

Hi Steve,

I've had a VFO-240 but currently use a VFO-230 with a TS-830S.  Both
allow for selectable main or remote VFO RX, TX or split operation.

The VFO-240 is analog with analog read-out - same as the analog dial on
the TS-830S . Same 25 kHz per knob revolution as on the TS-830S VFO -
which means a little too much.  Will have some initial drift as on the
main radio VFO.

The VFO-230 is digital - frequency synthesized and digital read-out to
0.100 kHz - very stable.  Additionally provides 5 memory channels and a
"lock" so you don't unknowingly change frequency should you bump the
VFO-230 tuning knob.  The best feature of the VFO-230 is the easy to do
mod which reduces the kHz pre tuning knob to about 6 - 7 kHz per turn.
