I tried to reprogram the PF key on an MD53 microphone
to make it an "Enter" key do Could enter frequencies
and channel numbers directly from the keypad.
I went to MNU #23 and clicked thru the options to
"enter" I hit the OK key.

This did NOT change the PF key instead it changed the
"CALL" key, but the VFO direct entry does not come up.
I only get Memory channel change, and it does not come
up like on Page 54 of the user manual. I get three
flashing horizontal bars that are replaced as I type
in a three digit cannel number. It does not wait for
an enter command the channel just changes to the
entered channel number as soon as the third digit is
entered.

Another anomaly I have noticed is in the programmed
"Call" channel.

I programmed 146.91 as my "Call" Channel.
If I am in VFO mode in VHF I get 146.91 as programmed.

If I am in VFO in UHF I get the last VFO UHF frequency
that I entered.
If I am in AM Air-band I get the last Air-band
frequency that I entered.

What I want is to go to 146.91 whenever I hit the
"Call" button, no matter what I last did with the VFO.

Can Any body tell me if I have done something wrong or
if I have hit upon some undocumented feature?
