Pardon the inquiry which is not Kenwood specific (though I do use
the TM-V7a):
I was at the FCC site about 3 weeks ago and attempted to 1) renew
my recently expired Tech no-code. I also, within the same online
transaction, tried for new call which appeared to be unused. Paid
via credit card - using their online method.
Curious what the turnaround time was for receiving approval notice.
Within a week and a half, I already received approval on the GMRS
transaction done at the same session. Both transactions were viewable
though both have since dropped from view, indicating that the
transactions
are completed by FCC (?!)
I tried QRZ.com and see that my old call N7VWG is still expired and no
record of the requested call N7BFI. Credit card dinged for payment for
both GMRS and ham transactions.
Thanks for any insight. Not worrying about this....yet. Just curious on
a slow Saturday.
