[Kenwood] TS 830 filters and tweaking question

Hi Duncan
     The radio must have the carrier point adjusted, Although the YK 88s
filter is the most determining filter. But as with all Kenwood's The
receivers audio circuits are very restricted & thats why it sounds thin. You
must change the emitter bypass caps to a larger value & also the coupling
caps too.There are also bypassing caps to ground to roll the high freq audio
off, They need to be reduced. I have done all this to my 940 plus a Collins
3.3k filter in the 455 & 4k Inrad in the 8.83 ...... It sound like stereo  &
the slope tune works perfect !!
