[Kenwood] TS-430 won't TX

I apologize if this was sent to the list twice.
My TS-430 will not TX anymore, regardless of whether I use the SEND switch
or the VOX switch. RX is fine. I took the cover off to have a look at
something unrelated to the TX problem, but when I powered it back on, I
didn't notice that the SEND switch was on. I know there is a note in the
PS-430 manual saying that doing this can send up to 2A into the rig, but it
doesn't say what the consequences are, or what to look for in order to
repair. I've had the rig apart, but see nothing obviously scorched,
melted, burnt, etc.
Here's one thing I've noticed in RX: When I turn on the SEND switch,
signals drop by about 1 S unit. When I turn on the VOX switch, signals go
up about 40dB on the S meter.
I've poured over the schematics for hours. Any ideas or suggestions?
