[Kenwood] TS-450S/AT

Greetings all --- having trouble psyching out the AT ...
into a heathkit dummy load, 3 foot coax, the AT makes a few rounds and
the warning beeper SOUNDS saying to turn it off ...  never see any
change in SWR while it's running;  power out always better  (full)
without the AT in!;  with it in the "meter" is full scale  SWR on some
bands!

the rig has been used very seldom (thankfully);  it's in our Sheriff's
Comm Center for ARES op.
