[Kenwood] Another TS-940 Problem

Actually two: Having an intermittent problem when operating CW - at times, 
the pitch in the sidetone starts to sound chirpy (no bad transmitted signal 
reports, tho), then settles in on a higher note, and at this point, using 
semi-break-in, the t/r seems to start cutting out - a friend reported it 
sounds "choppy". Turning the rig off and back on sometimes cures it for a 
while. Seems to happen more after the rig is on for a while. Secondly, I have 
heard people say the fan almost never comes on. Well, the fan on my 940 will 
come on even when I'm not transmitting. Yes, it's got plenty of air-space 
around it. Any ideas?? Thanks. Jim KZ1M.
