Kevin,

I recently disposed of my TS-430S and replaced it with a used TS-
450SAT. I don't find a real difference in the performance on the AM 
BC Band and below. I use it occassionally for broadcast band 
DXing and other low frequency listening. I am able to copy WWV 
on 60kHz with an 18 foot whip at the end of about 80ft of RG-58. 
With the same antenna I can often hear foreign LW broadcasts - 
right now I can hear music on the 162kHz station in France quite 
well. Lots of NDBs, and in the last few days have copied just about 
all the East Coast Canadian, U.S. and Caribbean NAVTEX stations 
on 518kHz. For your info I am at about 45N 75W.
