[Kenwood] TH-F6A

As an experiment, I bypassed the diode in the Kenwood BT-13 AA battery 
pack. Now the wall wart charger will charge my NiMH AA batteries in the 
BT-13 when attached to the radio. The radio still won't give a battery 
charge indication with the BT-13 pack, though; don't understand that.
I believe the wall wart charger is a switching type power supply due to its 
size vs. weight, and I can hear a hash (frying) sound coming from it when 
it is plugged in.
Anyone looked at a spectrum analyzer for noise from that charger?
