[Kenwood] TS 530S Power Out

Hello Peter, RF relative meter has a potentiometer for deflection
adjustment, it's only a relative power indication; perhaps it is
advanced too far, so with very little power output it deflects full
scale; a good advice is to adjust it for 3/4 scale indication with full
power output (100..120 Watts), with dummy load. This indication with SWR
in the line may indicate very different with the same power out.
Please tell me which is the Ip current reading (switch in Ip position),
it must show 200..240 mA with full output, with all tuned for max.
output., and steady carrier. Try to borrow a good external wattmeter to
check power more accurately.
Check also, in SSB, Ip reading must be 50 mA with mic gain control at
zero level, no modulation (and verify SG switch in the back, is in the
ON position).

Good luck
Guillermo - LU8EYW.
