[Kenwood] TS-830S bandswitch

The dreaded problem with the bandswitch coupling has finally happened to my TS-830S. The universal coupling for the bandswitch shaft to the portion of the switch that is in the final amplifier enclosure has developed a crack, causing the switch not to index properly at times.

It looks like a very difficult job to replace this coupling. Does anyone have a fix for this, and/or is there a service bulletin or mod somewhere that I can refer to?

As always, any help will be appreciated.
