Today I installed both the 500 Hz CW-filters in my TS-830S.; the YK-88C and
the YG-455C.
With the TS-830S still open I checked both the CW-filters by moving the
connector (near the YG-455C) between CW1 and CW4, as described in the manual
on page 26.
The YK-88C is okay.
But the YG-455C has a wrong offset. It looks like it is not on 455 kHz. With
the 'IF SHIFT' I am able to tune untill I hear the signals with the same
tone as I hear them with CW-W.
When I move the connector to CW4 I hear almost nothing! I am able to tune
with the 'IF SHIFT', but only the very strong signals give a little bit
audio.
Could this be a problem with the YG-455C filter, or is it possible to align
the TS-830S for the correct frequency of the 455 kHz filter?
Many thanks in advance.
