TM732 Reset procedure.
Vol/SQ fully counterclockwise
Hold down "MR" and power up, after all segments light up turn off power.
Hold down "F" and "MR" key and power up, hold for appx 4 seconds until all
is set to factory spec.
The battery is not hidden, that is the standard placement for batteries in a
Kenwood VHF/UHF mobile.

Sorry about the long delay in replying Fred. It's a normal CR 2032 3 volt
Lithium coin cell, as used in Psions as a back-up battery and other small
electronic devices. But it's the version with two tabs for soldering in.
Waters & Stanton (a UK Ham retailer) charge 3� times the price of the one in
this computer.
It's mounted on the PCB that is placed vertically between the surface of the
removed front panel and the diecast chassis. It's well hidden below the
plastic that supports the front panel, on the side of the PCB facing the
front.
