[Kenwood] 850 Problem

Scanning when you don't intend to is a real bummer.  I had a similar problem with a TS940 several years ago.  In my case it was the photo diodes in the tuning circuit.  They were shot and I replaced them.  Maybe, if you're lucky, all you need to do is diddle the adjustment(s) associated with the tuning circuitry.
