Hello to the group.

Recently, my 820S developed an audio problem. No audio, except an =
occasional snap crackle pop... I checked the 9v on the AF-AVR board =
which was not 9v. I replaced all the transistors (except the audio amp) =
and the 9v problem is now rectified. Still wasn't any better than =
before. I replaced the audio amp transistor last night with the =
replacement per service bulletin SB-954 (due to the fact that the =
original audio amp is no longer produced since 1989). I guess you could =
say things are a little better, no snap crackle pop from the speaker. =
Still no audio. The service bulletin makes reference to changing out a =
resister if the audio is too low. This, at least to me, sounds like I =
should be getting some audio from the speaker. Has anyone on the list =
installed this service bulletin before and had similar problems? Or =
does anyone have a disfunctional 820 or 820S that is willing to part =
with the AF-AVR board?

Thanks
Jamie
