   Well I found what the problem was. After opening up the rig and =
peeling back the RF section I found that the wires to the fans were cut! =
From what I can tell the fan section was replaced and the wires were =
never connected. This radio was a recent purchase from K8ZT and I was =
going through the traps to make sure it was in good working condition =
for a young HAM I bought it for. I was really surprised what I found, =
but fortunately it didn't take much to repair what was done. I am just =
glad we didn't try this rig at field day or some other function and =
trash the RF section with the heat. We finished up the repair and tests =
and it looks like it will be a good radio now. For all who responded, =
