[Kenwood] SM-220/230 Questions

The 220 is definitely a better buy as a rule. I have a couple of each =
and the only one I kept is a 220 with the adapter. Very stable and =
works great. While the 230 was nice to look at and matched my 950, it =
didn't measure up.

Qsl Roy, and thanks for your comments too Steve.

If you have a chance to try before the buy on the SM-230, I would sure =
give
it a try Roy. Maybe late batches of the SM-230 were more stable. Also =
coming
across a SM-220 isn't hard, but many don't have panadapter modules in =
them,
and the modules are not made anymore. So it is a bit more difficult to =
find
a good SM-220 and the right module, but worth it if you can, and both =
are in
good working order. Keep in mind that at least on the SM-220, there =
are
changeable bezels for mounting over the front of the crt display.
