[Kenwood] Radio will not turn on not even dail lamps lights.

I have a Kenwood TS180S That was working last night when I went to bed.
Today I went to turn it on and radio is dead.
Have an Astron Power Supply RS35A with a meter.
When it is turned on and radio is turned on the meter only shows about 5 
volts.
If I remove the supply from the radio it shows 13 volts on the power supply 
meter.
The supply is fine I used another supply and the radio still won't turn on.
Cable from supply to radio is fine.
Can anyone tell what gives and where to go from here?
Help is needed.
