Yes, I had pretty much the same experience here in KC. They were good both
directions. I confirmed them on 40M and 20M. Little or no operation on the
other bands at that time, so many people need band slots on FB8Z even if not
a new one all together.
The team is a great bunch of ops and will be available for all.
As K4UEE said at the W0DXCC 2 years ago , it will be another Penguin movie
in the making.

Russ is right -- I remember the D68C Comoros expedition whch had LOTS
of equipment. Toward the end I had a 10M FM ragchew with them. If it goes
at all like the plan they will be logging QRP to wet strings in the final
days.
Amsterdam Island (or is it St. Paul...?) is antipodes to
Two Buttes Colorado and is the closest land to my antipodes. In the
70s FB8ZM often came in on 20 with only ten or less dB difference in
sig. as I swung the beam. 73
